  • Since the latest RC update I have issues loading websites like youtube.com or theguardian.com

Loading youtube.com in a new private tab initially loads, but then redirects to https://accounts.youtube.com/accounts/CheckConnection

Loading theguardian.com in a new private tab initially loads, but then redirects to https://sourcepoint.theguardian.com

I expect both websites to load normally, like they do when using Safari or Firefox. A fresh profile or compatability mode didn't help.

    0.99.128.1.1.1-rc

    macOS 15.0 Beta (24A5298h)

      • Randomly, when I open websites I can't click on any URL or button or interact with the website at all.

      • I can go to a different website and the issue persists.

      • Opening another tab works. The tab in which it happened won't work anymore for any other website.

      • Unfortunately, I can't reproduce it easily - however, I thought it would be worthwhile dropping it here. Maybe someone else has the same issue.

      • This shouldn't happen.

      Version 0.99.126.4.1.6-rc

      Sonoma (14)

      • Steps to reproduce:
Open 2 tabs in private window. Then drag one of the tabs to create a new window. The new window is actually a regular window and not private window.

        Expected behavior:
The new window should be private window as the tab fronm which this window was created was part of a private window.

        Orion, OS version; hardware type:
        Version 0.99.110-beta (WebKit 613.1.12)
        MacOS Monterey 12.1
        MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) - M1 Pro

        Image/Video:

        • Steps to reproduce:

          1. Visit a site that uses a service worker (for example reddit.com)
          2. Notice that in the CPU tab of Activity Monitor, a new process appears - "Orion Service Worker (reddit.com)"
          3. Close the reddit tab.
          4. Wait several minutes.
          5. Note that the service worker process is still open and running.
          6. Visit some other sites that use a service worker (e.g. caddy.community) and the same is true.
          7. After a period of time, a number of service workers will be left running, for now-closed sites.

          Expected behavior:
I am guessing that these old service workers should be closed after the last tab is closed, or shortly thereafter. Since they don't seem to be purged, I guess these will slowly use up 12 MB (approx) each, until you do a clean close/reopen of Orion.

          Version 0.99.109.1.3-beta (WebKit 613.1.12)

          • Steps to reproduce:
watch any video in youtube with livechat. Orion does not show the livechat box with "Hide Chat Replay" option at the bottom of the livechat box. Because of this behavior, videos with livechat option do not show suggested videos below the chat box.

To reproduce this behavior watch the following link in Orion and any other browser

This issue is in the latest version of Orion, previous version was working fine, just like in any other browser.

            Expected behavior:
Live chat box needs to have "Hide Chat Replay" option at the bottom.

            Orion and macOS:
            orion - Version 0.99.109-beta (WebKit 613.1.12)
macOS - macOS Monterey Version 12.0.1

            Image/Video:

            • Steps to reproduce:
Open Orion and browse, leave it open for days, quit and relaunch.

              Expected behavior:
uBlock Origin should autoupdate to the latest version but does not (both from Firefox and Chrome store). I have to uninstall and then reinstall it. It's my only extension which the developer updates frequently, so I can't tell if other extensions are affected (Simple Translate, e.g.)

              Orion and macOS:
              Orion 0.99.108.1-beta (Webkit 613.1.10)
              Mojave 10.14.6 (18G9323)
