I went into Compatibility mode and this stopped, so could be an extension, but I still thought you would want to know. I will try and figure out what extension, the only thing I added recently was 1Password.
Refresh loops (page randomly reloading)
Even with 1Password disabled, it still refreshes unwantedly.
I came back to Orion after a couple of months. I wanted to report that I'm on 126.4.1-beta and over the last couple of days I have not seen this problem come back. The beta was released on 14 Dec when I constantly faced this issue, so I'm not sure what changed.
Over the past weeks, I tried now Orion RC (always latest version) with the same websites, ones as part of a synchronized tab group, and once without. As soon as it's part of a synchronized tab group AND the same tab group is open on another computer, the problem occurs very frequently. outside a stored tab group, I never had the problem. Maybe this points in a direction...
This is happening for me in the latest RC. I think the random tab refreshes and random reloading of previously visited pages described in #6920 may be the same problem, based partly on the fact that they are both happening to me a lot, right at the same time.
reloading happening in prime video, watching shows in full screen will cause an reload of the page.
Version 0.99.126.4.1-beta (WebKit 618.1.2)
Build date Dec 14 2023
MacBook Pro (macOS Sonoma 14.2 build 23C64)
I can confirm, same problem happens regularly on Twitch.tv - random page refresh once in a while (1-3 times an hour).
We beleive we tackled this in latest RC

While it worked well in the first two days for me, the problem returned with a new issue. Now suddenly, saved Windows are not synchronized across devices but duplicated. The window that I had opened on my two macs suddenly appears twice and keeps reloading again pages!
Vlad
latest RC
Hi just updated to the latest RC [Version 0.99.126.4.1.9-rc (WebKit 619.1.1)
Build date Mar 7 2024] on my system with Catalina and still having the refresh issue (originally reported in another post but I think merged into this one) where clicking on links from Google search results just results in a page refresh.
However, I noticed the Show Console Errors Indicator and turned it on. After which I got this message under "Web Inspector encountered an internal error":
TypeError: kagi.handleFeedURLs is not a function. (In 'kagi.handleFeedURLs(Array.from(feedsTitles), window.location.href)', 'kagi.handleFeedURLs' is undefined) (at undefined:15:24)
? @
I got this while on the google home page (www.google.com) and responding to Google's popup that "Google recommend using Chrome" -> Don't switch.
Uploaded the steps to get that message though a little different than I remember with the first post -- I don't remember having to click on the Web Console Indicator to get that message and/or I remember the indicator being red. Anyway, not sure if this is related to the title of this thread so we can move this issue if helpful.
Otherwise, what I was originally trying to get at was the issue I reported here: https://orionfeedback.org/d/7133-some-webpages-have-to-take-a-refresh-to-load-up
persists with this RC on Catalina.
Unfortunately, the issue is still not fixed, also with the latest RC. I'd say the page reloading got even worse for me. A concrete example is a Google Doc's file I try to work on. I am not able to type more then 3 words before the page gets reloaded again when within saved window.
Vlad The second day and it's ok
Vlad Updated to the latest RC last night and that addressed the kagi.handleFeedURLs issue.
However, the reloading issue persists for me.
I did get several process crash messages from this latest Orion while testing the refresh issue but I can't find any CrashReporter/etc files to submit. Is there something I need to enable for those to be saved so that I can share back to the team?
