I have somehow the impression it's related to the iCloud sync. I say that because it also occasionally happens to me that a closed window suddenly reopenes, presumably because in the synced tab info it's still stored. What if this also causes the other windows to reopen? I also experienced that suddenly I opened a new Orion RC window and a stored tab group and the tabs are suddenly duplicated and contain plenty of tabs that I had closed long time ago. Maybe this can be a hint?

    One more pointer towards a relation to the iCloud sync of tab groups/windows. I deleted the saved window where the problem primarily happened, created a new one and opened again all the tabs that previously had the problem. For now, the issue did not reappear.

      @oxmynx for the sync problem we have the issue #6912. My tabs reload sometimes even with sync disabled.

        I've been seeing this happen a bit today. It actually happened a lot while searching through https://orionfeedback.org for this issue. No related *ips files from when it was occurring.

        I also saw it on bard.google.com; also when I went to download discord, it seemed to downloaded the dmg file ~5 times due to the reloads.

          I can confirm that page reloading is somehow related to the tab groups sync. Just today I was watching Netflix on my iMac in Orion saved tab group. Put the computer to sleep and switched to MacBook. Then opened that same tab group and tried to resume from there - which resulted in page reloading every couple seconds.

          Then I opened Netflix in a new window (instead of saved tab group), and it worked without any issues.

          So my guess is that it was trying to sync the saved tab group over and over again and refreshed the page.

            In response to the previous two posts, I am not seeing the issues at all using Arc (or any other browser) and do not use tab groups but continue to see the issue in Orion.

              On the X site. Could be in a Spaces or could be replying to a post. X refreshes. I assume this is coming from X not Orion. If I am writing a post or reply, it gets wiped out. If I am in a spaces it drops me out. Refreshes maybe 30 sec or 1 minute. This is new behavior for Orion as of a few days for me. Other browsers do not do this. If you suspect a specific Orion setting, let me know and I can check.

                I went into Compatibility mode and this stopped, so could be an extension, but I still thought you would want to know. I will try and figure out what extension, the only thing I added recently was 1Password.

                  Even with 1Password disabled, it still refreshes unwantedly.

                    Merged 3 posts from X refreshing automatically.

                      RobOK I don’t have any extensions nor multiple profiles and it happens regularly.

                          I came back to Orion after a couple of months. I wanted to report that I'm on 126.4.1-beta and over the last couple of days I have not seen this problem come back. The beta was released on 14 Dec when I constantly faced this issue, so I'm not sure what changed.

                            Over the past weeks, I tried now Orion RC (always latest version) with the same websites, ones as part of a synchronized tab group, and once without. As soon as it's part of a synchronized tab group AND the same tab group is open on another computer, the problem occurs very frequently. outside a stored tab group, I never had the problem. Maybe this points in a direction...

                              This is happening for me in the latest RC. I think the random tab refreshes and random reloading of previously visited pages described in #6920 may be the same problem, based partly on the fact that they are both happening to me a lot, right at the same time.

                                reloading happening in prime video, watching shows in full screen will cause an reload of the page.

                                  I can confirm, same problem happens regularly on Twitch.tv - random page refresh once in a while (1-3 times an hour).
