It seems that rapidly navigating to a different URL when a tab is unsuspended/opened may cause the tab to navigate to the previous page.

  • Click on suspended tab or open a new tab
  • Very quickly type new URL and hit enter
  • New page loads
  • Previous page suddenly loads
  • The page history actually has the intentionally loaded URL, you can hit back/forward to go between intentional and bugged load

A specific example I have:

  • New tab
  • type ol, autocompletes old.reddit.com and <enter>
  • reddit loads
  • page gets replaced with start page

I understand "sometimes" is not a preferred word in bug reports here and my lack of easy reproduction is not going to be taken nicely, but I want to create this bug so that if anyone else experiences it they can maybe contribute better repro or at least see they're not alone. It happens frequently but I can't repro in a new profile and it doesn't always happen in my default profile.

Navigate to a page in a tab and it stays on that page

Yes I do experience this as well sometimes, though couldn't reproduce this

This has been a problem for me lately in both Orion and Safari.

To add more info, I have had this problem in Orion Version 0.99.126.4.1.6-rc (WebKit 619.1.1) and Safari Version 17.3.1.

Another bit of info: this bug does not necessarily load the previous page; if I navigate through several pages in a short period of time, I have had Orion spontaneously load a page 10 sites back in my history (that I was on maybe 2 to 5 minutes prior).

This started to happen to me once I've enabled sync back again. Sometimes clicking on links goes straight back after navigating to the clicked URL.

Vlad Used the the latest RC (Version 0.99.126.4.1.7-rc) for the past two days and haven't noticed the problem since updating.
