Delete Default "Synced" Profile
Hey Vlad! Sorry the terminology is difficult and conflicting. So I'm referring to the first profile that you get (that's also the only profile that syncs to both Mac and iOS) that can't be deleted or switched by another profile to sync to.
Here's what I mean when I say I can't delete it.
I changed the name and the color to DELETEME and Orange by the way..
I'd like to be able to delete this, or switch profiles for mobile.
Techienaut You should be able to delete any profile.
Not sure why you are not, we'd need exact steps to reproduce.

So Default-Old is like THE FIRST PROFILE you get out of the box. You can't delete it.
I don't like that because I have a lot of garbage in that profile, and it has sync issues where not everything syncs instantly (we're talking like 10 minute delays between my Mac and my iPhone).
I just want to delete it and use a different profile to sync my stuff. If you see my past issue, you'd see that I'm asking for this, because I can't even delete the synced data through iCloud: https://orionfeedback.org/d/3566-add-delete-icloud-app-data-in-reset-orion . I would be happy if either this issue or that issue was resolved, since I'm basically having problems with syncing .
In terms of steps, I relabelled the original "Default" profile to "Old-Default". And I created a new profile called "New-Default" and make it the default profile. It's confusing, I know. I deally I feel like once on profile is the 'Default' it should just be the default permanently in all aspects. There shouldn't be a lingering 'Old-Default' with synced data and can't be deleted.

I was having the same problem, but I think I managed to fix it. I deleted every instance of Orion on all my devices. Then I followed the instructions on this Lifewire article:

I used my Mac, but I assume the other instructions also work. I had to delete it multiple times for it to take because iCloud is flaky. But once it no longer appeared after several trials in the Manage iCloud interface, I was able to reinstall Orion and create a whole new, empty default profile with no data from the old profile. Those changes also carried over when I reinstalled Orion on my iPad (only 1 tested so far).
Hope this helps others with sync issues to get a fresh start.
andrumatt Thanks for this suggestion, I hope though that a 'Delete default profile' setting will be added to the 'Reset Orion' settings. Or a 'Delete Sync Data' setting.
I still cant delete Orion backup from iCloud drive. Maybe a fix will come sooner or later bucause im not the only one in this situation.
Otherwise, Orion is a great browser.
I'm also having this issue now. I changed out from my default profile (as I am having an iCloud syncing issue on my Mac), to a new profile. I can't delete the "Default" profile nor seemingly get the new profile I created to sync.
This likely isn't best practice, but for the time being you can manually change over the profile. Quit Orion and navigate to Library>Application Support>Orion or Orion RC, the folder called "Defaults" is the default profile. You can duplicate it to something like "Defaults Old" and delete the original. Then rename your profile (which is a bunch of letters and numbers" to "Defaults". Now in Profiles, you will have your current profile with all of it's information in the "Default" profile. I'm still trying to get it to Sync to my iOS devices, even after deleteing all the apps and removing it from iCloud.
