Waiting patiently for this!
Edit: Adding some of my usage patterns for how I use profiles. I have two virtual desktops and two separate Chrome profile windows opened on each of my desktop. One is personal and other one is work. This goes for the browser keeping the sessions, passwords and everything else separated and goes for the virtual desktops as well. Windows, even remembers that If I open up my profile using a shortcut (the shortcut part is very important), it automatically switches desktop as it remembers which desktop I use for what kind of app. It is kind of cool but macOS does not do that. On macOS I can still right click the browser icon in dock and select the profile I want to open, without having to go through the profile switcher screen every-time on startup. I've tried containers - but they seem not that useful to me. Profiles are like using a separate computer - Your extensions, bookmarks, history, passwords, login sessions, themes, download settings - everything is different except it's your favorite browser!
