  • Changing volume while playing audio causes popping while using bluetooth audio

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Set audio output to a bluetooth device (tested with AirPods pros)
  2. Play YouTube video
  3. Increase and decrease volume several times using f11 and f12 on keyboard

Expected behavior:
The audio should increase and decrease in volume without popping after each volume change. Safari doesn't have this issue.

        Fortrikka It should not be we use old webkit in current beta. What are the steps to reproduce for you?

                I am seeing this issue as well, but even for non bluetooth audio

                      Hey @Vlad sorry for the late follow up. Unfortunately I don't have a consistent repro for this. Would providing the debug info be helpful next time I run into this?

                            I've managed to to reproduce it consistently. It might not be the same bug but it seems to happen when switching audio outputs. When I switch from one audio output to another audio output the issue seems to occur. I've tested built in speakers, headphone jack, and airpods. Initially when starting orion, there is no popping/crackling, but after switching outputs, it starts to pop/crackle on volume changes as well as randomly during videos on youtube. When it pops/crackles randomly it sounds like the popping in wes's video but only for a fraction of a second before returing to normal. Restarting orion seems to fix the issue until the audio output is changed again. Safari doesn't seem to have this issue.
