    @pow_ext I don't think so. There are uses for pinch to zoom outside of canvas elements.

      @Vlad You are correct, I don't believe it will fix the underlying issue. I filed this bug well before pinching out to tabs overview was implemented.

        I would be fine losing that behavior. I honestly only ever triggered it accidentally and never found it useful.

          I am experiencing this as well. Previously closed tabs are frequently opening (not focused). Often this occurs a few seconds after I close a tab. This is happening on MacOS Orion, but I use it on iOS as well.

          Orion, OS version; hardware type:
          Orion: Version 0.99.114.1-beta (WebKit 614.1.12)
          macOS: Version 12.3.1
          Hardware: M1 MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021)

            I am seeing this issue as well, but even for non bluetooth audio

              I would love to see this feature, I use credit card, address, name/phone, autofill quite often in Safari on MacOS and miss it dearly in Orion. I'm not sure what is available API wise, but it looks like Safari AutoFill pulls from the Wallet and Contacts apps.

                Just to clarify, I believe a private window should not being using any cache, including the favicon but that's a separate issue.

                  From what I can tell, the favicon is shown if it's in the browser cache which is different from your browser history. For example, I visited protonvpn.com and then typed the URL in a private window (eg: no history), and saw the favicon when I had finished typing the URL but before hitting enter to load the page.

                  So IMO, I don't think there is a privacy leak here or that unnecessary requests are being made.

                    Hey Vlad, thanks for following up. Here's the correct behavior in Safari. You'll notice that the app nav elements, menu etc, stay in place while you zoom, and that the map tiles are redrawn with different labels features etc. Vs in your video, everything is just zoomed in.

                      Steps to reproduce:

                      1. Goto https://www.google.com/maps
                      2. Use 2 finger zoom gesture to attempt to zoom the map view
                      3. Page zoom changes instead of map redrawing at a new zoom level

                      Compatibility mode does not make a difference, and Safari correctly forwards the zoom gesture. I will add that Safari annoyingly zooms out to the tab overview mode once you reach the minimum zoom level which is not relevant to Orion.

                      Expected behavior:
                      The map to handle the gesture and redraw at a new zoom level
