  • Steps to reproduce:
    Given a javascript based web page that has any sort of time based activity navigating to another tab will cause the javascript activity to slow down in strange ways. The easiest way I've found it reproduce it is to open something like this music generator https://www.vitling.xyz/toys/acid-banger/ and then open a new tab. The tempo of the generated music will slow noticably as another tab is drawn until focus is restored to the tab containing the javascript.

    Expected behavior:
    No change in processing in the background, or some way to say I want to allow the tab to continue to use resources?

    • This is fixed for me as of Version 0.99.122-beta (WebKit 615.1.11.7) and can probably be closed?

      Create tabs until you have more tabs than the width of the tab bar
      Cmd+Click a link to open another tab

      Expected behavior:
      Some indication that a tab has been created like in Safari or Firefox

        Install official IPFS Companion Extension
        Attempt to connect to IPFS desktop
        IPFS will show up as offline even though it is up and running

        Expected behavior:
        Be able to connect to IPFS
