Vlad Related, but its not just the input field that lags, everything else does too eg cannot close the tab, cannot switch tabs. Just everything halts until it finishes

Vlad Thanks!, I initially thought it would be something webkit related but seems to have no slowdowns in safari.

Safari/Edge does not behave like this.
Compatibility mode does not fix this
