At the moment, on every browser, tab multitasking is a very simple tab switcher with a dedicated hot key assigned to it. But I still find it hard and annoying to switch between my tabs especially when I have a fair amount. This will help manage all open tabs.

For a new style tab switcher, I was imagining something like Mission Control on Mac as an option. Where it brings up a large canvas of all your tabs and can even group them in localised areas of tabs that are related to each other. And also have a zoom function of zooming into one localised area for an expanded view to then select your tab. Or if it’s only a few tabs then it’s as simple as Mission Control on Mac for you to select.

This would make it so much easier to view your tabs and see which one you’re actually trying to get to!

Have you tried enabling this option? I know it's not quite a full canvas, and can only show a around 8 or so tabs

I did Yh. It’s fine, I was more suggesting a complete new UI and interface to help with viewing and managing the tab switcher.

So having a command/gesture that brings up this canvas/Mission Control where you can then use your mouse and zoom to navigate. This can be in conjunction with the “control-tab” command to cycle between recent tabs for quicker navigation.
Just like on Mac where cmd+tab or windows alt+tab quickly switches between windows and the Mission Control offers a wider canvas to view and manage if you have too many windows open.

Sorry that was my mistake, i meant control-tab not options tab.

Just to note - ive edited my response to avoide confusion.

I am afraid I am not getting what the ask is. Can you provide a mockup?

Apologies, I didn't realise the 'tab overview button'. That is similar to what I had in mind, mimicking Mission Control but in a grid fashion.
Could there be a way to highlight/group tabs that are nested together in the tab overview? That way you know which tabs are related to each other when in tab overview.

              No one is typing
