Vlad

Almost got a sure reproducible scenario now:

1) open fresh profile, no extensions
2) open https://orionfeedback.org
3) cmd+T (new tab)
4) open https://youtube.com
5) click e.g. "Trending" to get some videos showing
6) scroll down a bit
7) cmd+1 back to orionfeedback.org
8) cmd+2 back to youtube.com (now unresponsive)

You might need to switch back and forth between the two taps more than once, but for me, the youtube tab becomes unresponsive within 1-2 tries, every time.

(on RC 0.99.127.1-rc)

DanielN I was also able to reproduce it with these steps, though in my case after switching tabs I had to click and move around a bit on YouTube before it froze.

Vlad As mentioned i see this most often in new tabs like eBay for example or something that'll prompt a new tab/popup. Not sure if this helps and yes I used a new profile/compatbility mode

DanielN I hate to be that guy but I can't seem to replicate with these steps. I'm on a clean profile, no extensions, and in compatibility mode. Can you share a screen capture of your method?

it seems to require scrolling on the tab to be frozen, but it happens 99% of the times for me:

Can replicate it - Hope the solution to this will come ASAP

@orionlover @DanielN @jbergstroem @CyberArchon can you please share little more details?

              • Mac Modal name
              • Processor info
              • Any external GPU?
              • Any external display?
              • Is the issue started only after 126.4.1.4 release?
              • Can you try disabling GPU Process: DOM Rendering from Experimental Features and relaunch Orion and try reproducing same?

                • MacBook Pro 16" (2021)
                • M1 Pro
                • No external GPU
                • No external display
                • Started for me somewhere in a RC between 0.99.126.4.1 and 0.99.127
                • Yes, I was able to reprouce it first try with GPU Process: DOM Rendering disabled.

These are steps to reproduce for me:

                  1. open orionfeedback in a new tab and scroll
                  2. open youtube.com/trending in a new tab and scroll
                  3. select orionfeedback as the current tab using the mouse
                  4. ctrl+tab from orionfeedback tab to youtube.com/trending tab

So similar to what DanielN posted above

dino Yup, seems to have solved it on my end using the dev build you provided.

dino So far so good after using this build for a couple hours.
