I think that there is no need for an inbuilt note feature in browser. If someone needs it, there are always extensions or native editors.

But on a broader level, there should be something like a polling feature in this forum, which can help in deciding such issues (like whether there should be a notes feature).

    Brief Summary
<What does your feature entail? What is it for? How will it affect existing workflows or user experience?>
My feature entails having an option to disable the quick notes feature in Orion (by pressing cmd+i)

    Details:
There is currently no way to disable quick notes in Orion. It would be useful for users who don't want this feature to have the option to disable it in settings. It can be specifically opt out, so users who explicitly don't want quick notes can disable the feature.

Anatomy5803 What do you mean by Quick notes, and how does it interfere with your workflow that you'd like it disabled?

Vlad Like I stated in the original report, Orion "quick notes" can be opened by pressing cmd+i . It can interfere with my workflow when I'm editing documents and applying italics as the keybind is the same (cmd + i). However, it's worth nothing that Quick Notes doesn't get enabled when I'm using italics. It could be preferable then to change the keybind to (cmd+ctrl+i) as noted in a previous report.

Merged 3 posts from Option to Disable Quick Notes.

Anatomy5803 fyi all Orion menu shortcuts can be changed through native macOS settings including this one. We will nevertheless change the default shorctu combo as per prior request.

Edit: The original message of this post was to merge my initial ticket with this thread. I didn't see that it was already merged 😄

Cmd-Opt-I is already the shortcut to open developer tools, also true of at least Chrome and Safari. This thread has taught me how to change shortcuts so if this releases I'll be aware, but I think this will confuse a number of technical people?
