The video was on chrome

Ajajj I think you'll need to be more specific about what features you're hoping the iOS/iPad version of Orion could offer, since "different settings also themes" is a bit vague. If you can list some specific examples of flags you'd like that would surely help the Orion team respond to your request.

I also don't understand what "more extension support" being managed under flags would involve; it seems like either Orion would support or not support an extension API or not. I can't see any reason to make the user have to manually change internal Orion settings to enable support for an extension – any extensions Orion has the API support for should Just Work™ when installed, so if you can be more specific about that part of your request too that would help clarify things.

adamaveray stuff like force dark mode on website or inspect element or themes or just developer tools in general like chrome something’s like that and costume themes would be cool

Ajajj oh also by more extension support I mean on mobile on iOS download Shimeji extension it doesn’t work but on my android another browser like Orion I have works with the extension but the screen is not big enough so that’s why I’m using iOS but Orion doesn’t support the extension I guess

Vlad oh you mean what version of iOS I use actually iPadOS 16.6 I have a phone though

I don’t mean extension support as a setting I mean just saying I think it would be cool if there was better extension support for iOS and iPadOS

              Oh Orion version 1.2.10

Also by theme support I mean go to chrome web store you can download themes

Ajajj Please pause for a moment before replying and try to combine your posts into a single one – you are sending multiple notifications to anyone following this thread and making it harder to follow overall, and they could all have been one or two messages.

Ajajj Dark mode extensions already exist and are already supported – I suggest you try Dark Reader which is the most popular.

Ajajj Mobile developer tools has already been requested here: https://orionfeedback.org/d/3891-mobile-devtools-built-in I suggest you upvote that.

Ajajj Ajajj Themes have already been requested here: https://orionfeedback.org/d/467-support-for-custom-themes-firefoxchrome-or-orion-themes I suggest you upvote that.

Ajajj If this extension doesn’t work on iOS you should open a new issue specifically for that – that extension not working has nothing to do with feature flags.

Ajajj Any other issues with extension support should also be opened as individual issues on this forum with details of what extension specifically is not working.

None of these requests make sense as feature flags and many can already be solved by installing extensions. For the others please use the search functionally before posting feature requests and check for exisiting issues, and if you don’t find any then open new issues for each. 👍

adamaveray well i tried extensions like view source but they don’t support Orion ios

Ajajj or they weren’t working for some reason

                        2 years later

is there a way to enable these flags on iOS? I would love to enable Fullscreen API like i can for safari

I searched for current feature requests but couldn't find one related to this topic. Please let me know if I'm mistaken.

I suggest moving the Experimental Features menu to the Settings menu as a tab, similar to the recent change in Safari Technology Preview. I enjoy experimenting with various feature flags related to other experimental features in development. It would be much easier for me to access those flags instead of constantly navigating back and forth in the menu.

                          See example below:

                          Current Orion Implementation

                          Client Information

                          • Model: MacBook Pro M4 Pro
                          • MacOS Version: 15.3.1 (24D70)
                          • Orion Version: 0.99.130.5-rc (WebKit 621.1.2.111.4)

I suggest using the same menu and tab as in the current version of Safari Technology Preview, as shown in the attached screenshot below:

                          Safari Technology Preview Feature Flags

This approach would enable users to experiment with various WebKit experimental features more easily. They could access multiple flags without constantly navigating back and forth in the menu, creating a more user-friendly experience, especially for those who want to enable many flags.

                          Thank you!

                            Hey !

You're right; it could be better than it is now.

Merged 3 posts from Move the Experimental Features menu to a Settings tab using checkboxes similar to those in Safari Technology Preview.
