Vlad I'm very, very pleased with Orion's implementation of profiles! So much better than Chromium-based "profiles" and "identities." I hadn't even gotten my hopes up that Orion profiles would be as separable as Gecko-based profiles, but it looks as though that's what happened. Many thanks!

alexkornitzer if ur sure u want each tab to be isolated, u can use private windows. each tab there is isolated from the others

eirk the problem with private windows is that they drop all data (history, etc). What temporary containers do is preserve all the relevant data (history), but keep each tab isolated (cache, sessions, etc).

The other problem with private windows is that some sites use incognito mode / private window detection - sometimes it's intended to be fraud prevention (preventing e-commerce purchases or online banking logins using incognito mode is arguably a good thing from a security point of view), but it can also be used for fingerprinting.

Would love to see multi account container support .

Vlad The mock ups look really great! Is there an ETA for Session tabs to land in the RC build?

Thanks very much for the quick reply, I'll keep an eye out.

Came to add my thanks and support to this feature. With the Firefox Multi-Account Container add-on not working in Orion, this feature is the last gap for me between FF and Orion. Sadly the nightmare that is Google's (and others') stalkerish cross-site account synchronization means my workflow is broken without the tab-quarantining provided by Multi-Account Containers so I will be anxiously awaiting Sessions!

42648594 I am using Profiles to achieve this, which is a "sledgehammer" approach compared to Containers but does the same thing (with some drawbacks).

robrecord ANy easy wins to make profiles less of a "sledgehammer"? Feel free to open a new post.

robrecord Is there a way to trigger an automatic switch to the correct profile when opening a new URL? In FF, containers are assigned Designated Sites which automatically open a new tab in the relevant container. Seems like in Orion, I'd have to manually open a new tab and select the profile I was to use for that site. Not the end of the world, but a substantial increase in time acorss many dozens of tabs opened throughout a day.

Thanks for supporting this feature! I can't wait for this feature to release and make Orion my main browser!

                      Vlad

I was wondering if this feature was still on the roadmap for the next couple releases - or if it had been pushed bacK?

I just had a read through the entire thread and wanted to +1 this feature request -- thanks for keeping this updated @Vlad, appreciate it very much!
