Hi! In Firefox or Chrome, you can send extensions to an "overflow menu." I'd love the ability to throw toolbar items (and/or just extension icons) in some menu that's out-of-sight and out-of-mind. Currently I do this by dropping all of my extension icons off of the main toolbar and then restoring them manually when I have to use them. This is kind of time consuming and sucky though. I really just want a secondary "hidden" bar that I can throw things in for one-off uses (like unblocking a site with ublock).

    hakusaro Would you image this icon be something you drag and drop to toolbar? (ie it is not there on default)

        Vlad I'm honestly not sure. I could take either. I don't know how popular it is in other browsers, tbh.

            Vlad I prefer Firefox’s version since it lets you choose what extensions you want to see in the overflow menu. Chrome’s overflow menu lists all the installed extensions and there is no way to hide any of them.

                adorabilis I agree; Firefox's implementation is better because it's more customizable. My only gripe with Firefox's implementation is the icon—I think it's a tad bit ugly.

                ellipsis.circle seems like a good icon to me. It even comes up in SF Symbols when searching "overflow," so I think this is the icon that follows the HIG.

                    h2flux Potentially just ellipsis as the circle version is also used on iOS for a different purpose

                        Something Safari severely lacks. Let us just have one three dot icon, and make a list of extensions spring forth from that one button, so we never have to customize toolbar, place the toolbar icon then drag it out as we never use it again.

                            Simple list of extensions, that when clicked will bring up that requested extension's preferences menu that is HTML for that current tab.

                                It just gets ugly if every extension gets an icon. Sometimes an extension only works in the background and you don't want to see it all the time.
