Vlad I think that Orion, by default, should try to optimize around the default macOS window management solution.

To manage windows in stock macOS, you fullscreen apps and swipe between them; you fullscreen to make multi-taking usable, not because you want more screen realestate. Third party apps like Magnet change how/why people do this, instead people just maximize apps like Windows leading them to only fullscreen when they want to have more content on the screen.

Admittedly, it was very confusing the first time I fullscreened Orion. It wasn't the behavior I was expecting. I think people who want that behavior should have the option to easily change it, but I don't think it should be the default.

Orion uses Easylist and EasyPrivacy filter lists. Try using those lists in other browsers and see if it still happens, or if it's an Orion specific issue. If it's not Orion specific, you can submit an issue to the respective lists' repositories.

the vertical tab housing diver should appear slightly thicker on the start page
only appears on the start page (from my experience)

Most people go into fullscreen mode because they want to make use of spaces and use gestures between fullscreen applications. Hiding the toolbar by default indicates this isn't the primary purpose, even though it is.

This would also be a parity default with Safari.

While I can't speak on the other things you brought up as I haven't experienced them myself, I do want to say that I don't think an icon in the menu bar would be necessary.

If Brave Search gets added, I'd also suggest adding other search engines like StartPage and Qwant. This addition would compliment the "Use Compact Size" option quite nicely.

This would be similar to right click functionality in MS Edge, which may make Orion feel more familiar to prior Edge users.

Vlad Start page, I believe as indicated by the settings menu in the bottom right and the transparency effect. I removed all the items from the start page so it essentially acts as a blank page, but with transparency.

Vlad "Dev" sounds and looks meh. Sorry, I don't really know how to articulate my thought on this one other than that it's almost too short...

I'd rather see "Develop" over "Dev" and "Developer", like Safari.

The option to open in the Tor browser would be better. Browsing Tor through un-official Tor browsers increases the risk for fingerprinting, which is kind of the entire point of using Tor—to browse anonymously. Using Tor through an uncommon browser like Orion would make your browser extremely identifiable. Same goes for Brave; not recommended.
