Funnily enough, when you switch a video to fullscreen (e.g. on YouTube) the menu bar suddenly doesn't hide anymore. I would like to extend this issue to „switch the menu bar behavior during browsing with the behavior in fullscreen video“.
MacOS menu bar disappears when Orion is in fullscreen
Maybe take a look at if this is a duplicate? It's literally the previous post.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Orion.
- Use the keyboard short cut to enter full-screen mode.
Expected behavior:
The window should go full screen without flashing the menu bar for a split second, just as happens correctly when you press the maximize button or select the item from the menu and click it. Instead, the menu bar flashes briefly. [note that I have a custom keyboard shortcut, but this applies the same when I remove the shortcut in System Preferences and use the standard shortcut.]
Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Version 0.99.115.1-beta (WebKit 614.1.12)
MacOS Monterey 12.4, Apple Silicon

Flagged as a dupe of a different post. It's probably related, and from the same root cause.
Any progress/eta on this issue? It is quite annoying that menu bar is visible in fullscreen mode in every app except Orion.
- Edited
Vlad Of course, the behaviour is still the same as in the first post.
Safari without cursor over the menu bar:
Orion without cursor over the menu bar:
When cursor hovers over the menu bar, the Orion menu as well as menu bar icons on the right side become visible. However, expected behaviour is that the menu bar stays visible permanently, like in Safari and every other desktop app.
Here is the menu bar setting in System Settings:
I see the same issue here, Kagi is "hiding" the menu bar (text is being removed but the black bar is staying) while all my other apps behave normally and show the menu bar correctly.
