  • I propose adding the ability to sync custom toolbars within the desktop browser. Users can spend considerable time customising toolbars—reordering icons, adding programmable buttons, and tailoring the interface to their workflow. Currently, when reinstalling Orion or setting it up on a new device, these customisations must be recreated manually. Implementing toolbar synchronisation would save significant time and improve efficiency, providing a seamless, consistent user experience across installations.

When a user customises their toolbar by rearranging icons, adding programmable buttons, or otherwise personalising the interface, these settings automatically sync to the user's iCloud along with their tabs, bookmarks, and reading lists. Upon installing Orion on a new desktop or after reinstalling it, the user's toolbar customisations are restored automatically after sync.

For example, a user who adds specific programmable buttons for quick access to frequent tasks or rearranges toolbar icons to better match their workflow would see these preferences appear immediately after syncing, without manual setup. This would extend Orion’s existing synchronisation functionality, enhancing productivity and user satisfaction.

    • I would love this feature too. It would be so much more efficient to do one action instead of 3:

      • Click and drag tab to preferred location

      Rather than:

      • Right click tab > Select Pin Tab > Click and drag pinned tab to prefered location
      • I would like the "Take Screenshot" and "Take Screenshot of Entire Page" tools to be able to add the captured image directly to the clipboard without requiring the user to save it before use. This would streamline workflows that rely on using screenshots in other applications

Instead of requiring users to save screenshots as files, this addition offers immediate access for pasting into whatever app the user is working in, reducing unnecessary steps and file clutter. It enhances the existing tools without disrupting their functionality, offering users more flexibility and improving efficiency.

Users of this feature would benefit significantly in workflows where screenshots are frequently used in other apps, such as design tools, documentation, or generative AI platforms. Currently, the Arc browser offers a similar functionality: its "Capture" tools allow users to instantly copy the image to the clipboard, eliminating unnecessary intermediate or cleanup steps.

While MacOS provides a screenshot key command, it is limited to capturing only the visible portion of the screen, not full web pages. Adding clipboard functionality would enhance their practicality, particularly for users who prefer immediate use of screenshots without saving redundant files.

For example, a designer could copy a full-page capture of a web layout directly into Figma, or a researcher could paste a key snippet into their notes without cluttering their file system with endless collections of redundant files. This streamlined workflow aligns with Orion’s focus on speed and user-centric efficiency.

        • Another +1 for this feature. It's something I use all the time in Arc and it's such a useful feature because it makes tab organisation and finding the right tab so much better.

I keep several tabs from the same website open individually and name them all specific to what's on the page. A feature like this in Orion would make me switch to it full time.
