I would like the "Take Screenshot" and "Take Screenshot of Entire Page" tools to be able to add the captured image directly to the clipboard without requiring the user to save it before use. This would streamline workflows that rely on using screenshots in other applications
Instead of requiring users to save screenshots as files, this addition offers immediate access for pasting into whatever app the user is working in, reducing unnecessary steps and file clutter. It enhances the existing tools without disrupting their functionality, offering users more flexibility and improving efficiency.
Users of this feature would benefit significantly in workflows where screenshots are frequently used in other apps, such as design tools, documentation, or generative AI platforms. Currently, the Arc browser offers a similar functionality: its "Capture" tools allow users to instantly copy the image to the clipboard, eliminating unnecessary intermediate or cleanup steps.
While MacOS provides a screenshot key command, it is limited to capturing only the visible portion of the screen, not full web pages. Adding clipboard functionality would enhance their practicality, particularly for users who prefer immediate use of screenshots without saving redundant files.
For example, a designer could copy a full-page capture of a web layout directly into Figma, or a researcher could paste a key snippet into their notes without cluttering their file system with endless collections of redundant files. This streamlined workflow aligns with Orion’s focus on speed and user-centric efficiency.
