Yannick Try typing "serko.nyc" to recreate the issue. On Safari it auto-forwards to "http://serko.nyc" and the website opens correctly. On Orion it fails to load the website at all.
Automatic HTTPS Upgrade preference remains ON even after toggling it OFF
Ok, just tried and it worked.
But I'm on the latest build of the browser, which should be released tomorrow or the day after.
Could you please try again after the update?
Thanks

This has been corrected, but I'm not sure which RC it was for
@jeanetienne ?

@Yannick It was merged very recently (less than 24hrs ago) so it didn't make it in time for this RC I believe.
@serko the fix is in the pipeline, it will ship soon. Here's how we've updated the behaviour of the browser:
Now if you enter a URL in the address bar without a scheme (e.g. serko.nyc
), the app will automatically prefix with:
https
if you have "Automatic HTTPS upgrade" enabledhttp
if you have "Automatic HTTPS upgrade" disabled
In the meantime "Automatic HTTPS upgrade", still continues to work as a mechanism to upgrade links to HTTPS when you click links that have the scheme set tohttp
and belong to known safe domains.
If you have "Automatic HTTPS upgrade" enabled and you explicitely want to access an HTTP resource, then you'll have to opt in by typing it out (e.g. http://serko.nyc
).
We found this offered the best compromise while also giving maximum control to users.
Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and in the process help making Orion a better browser!
Hi @Yannick @jeanetienne, thanks for all your help! My bug report appears to be fixed on the latest macOS RC build (version 0.99.131.1-rc.) Any insight as to when the iOS TestFlight App will match this behavior?

@Michal do you have an idea when we'll release a new build with ORIMO-562
?
jeanetienne Should be there for a while. Please double check this still works
