Whenever I switch from a non-pinned tab to a pinned tab, the pinned tab keeps reloading

The pinned tab should not reload

Version 0.99.127.3-beta (WebKit 619.1.1)

Sonoma (14)

    steps to reproduce:

    1. open a tab and pin it
    2. switch between a different tab (doesn't matter what that tab is) and the pinned tab, using cmd-#

    observe reloads.

btw it occurs on latest rc: Version 0.99.127.3-rc (WebKit 619.1.1)

I am observing this too on Version 0.99.127.3-beta (WebKit 619.1.1)

Can confirm same thing happens with my steup. cmd+#'ing through pinned tabs, every tab does a fresh reload upon switching.

I found this bug when having assistant chats open on kagi.com. I pinned my kagi.com tab and switching to it using CMD + number causes the pinned tab to reload. I also tried it with other websites and it sometimes also jumps back in history (on github.com in my case). Find attached the video demonstration.

Clicking on the tabs does not cause this issue!

I am using the latest 0.99.127.3.1-rc build and tested it with a new profile.

It requires this option to be enabled as I am using this shortcut to switch tabs.

        Video:

I expect the tabs I switch to with the shortcut not to reload or to jump back in history.

I use the CMD + Number shortcut a lot and this is happening to me too.

I have this as well. It's 100% reproducible for me on a new profile with the latest beta.

A couple extra bits of info shown in the attached video:

              • I don't even have to switch tabs. Just pressing CMD+1 while the pinned tab is selected triggers a refresh.
              • Pressing CMD+1 doesn't just reload the page, it navigates back to the originally-pinned URL even if I have navigated to another page.

Looks good. I was not able to reproduce it in 0.99.127.3.2-rc

Glad to hear this if fixed in the RC, any estimate when this fix will roll out to all users @Vlad ? Thank you for your work on this.

                    Steps to reproduce:

                    1. open tab
                    2. navigate to any website and remember the url (URL_1)
                    3. pin a tab
                    4. navigate to any other page/website and remember the url (URL_2)
                    5. switch to another tab
                    6. click CMD+1
                    7. Observe pinned tab with loaded URL_1

                    Another way to reproduce:

                    1. open tab
                    2. navigate to any website and remember the url (URL_1)
                    3. pin a tab
                    4. navigate to any other page/website and remember the url (URL_2)
                    5. click CMD+1
                    6. Observe page reloaded to URL_1

                    Another way to reproduce:

                    1. open tab
                    2. navigate to any website and remember the url (URL_1)
                    3. pin a tab
                    4. click CMD+1 repeatedly
                    5. Observe reloading page

CMD+number should open tabs (as mouse navigation does) not reload its with initial urls

                      Ops, it is duplicate

Glad to hear this bug is solved in RC.
