Chiming in to confirm what others are saying, the issue still occurs.
Seemingly randomly, but consistently throughout the day nonetheless.
While watching video on Youtube, watching video on Twitch, while scrolling a page (with infinite loading)

My report is for
Version 0.99.123.3-rc (WebKit 615.1.16.1)
MacBook Pro (macOS Catalina 10.15.7 build 19H2026)

Multiple people are saying "not fixed, only improved".
I count so far:

  • 2 reports from MacOS Monterey.
  • 2 reports from unknown MacOS.
  • 1 report from MacOS Catalina

It could be another older MacOS only issue.

pieterv I will say that on Ventura, I have not run in to this issue since the 0.99.123.3 build. So there may be something to the older OS versions and continuing to experience the issue.

ajgraves I'm on Ventura and I consistently run into this issue, although it doesn't seem to happen when I have compatibility mode turned on, so that might be related.

InterestingName That's even more interesting, in that I don't use compatibility mode at all.

Edit: I'll try to put YouTube in compatibility mode and see if I can trigger a reload that way.

Edit 2: Maybe you edited your comment, or I completely misread it, but I took it to mean that it happens in compatibility mode. My mistake.

InterestingName This may indicate it has something to do with extensions. Can you disable all extensions and confirm if the issue persists?

Tried disabling all the extensions in the Orion browser and im still facing this issue. Please resolve it because the basic tasks can't be done as the pages keep reloading.

              Steps to reproduce:

I'm watching a YouTube video in fullscreen with a couple tabs open (<10) and it refreshes it out of nowhere. I think it's because it's "technically" not the active tab anymore and thus triggers this behavior. Not 100% sure tho

              Expected behavior:
Orion should be less aggressive in fullscreen YouTube

              Orion, OS version; hardware type:

              • Version 0.99.123.3-beta (WebKit 615.1.16.1)
              • Ventura 13.2 build 22D49
              • M1 Pro MacBook Pro (10 CPU Cores, 16GB RAM)
Merged 2 posts from Youtube refreshed too aggressively.

Happens a lot for me mostly on youtube. But also happens on just about any other site.

eirk Current version: 0.99.123.3-beta. Sorry to say, I’ve been pretty busy lately and I switched to Arc Browser. So I don’t have any screen recordings. Just putting it out there—in case anyone else also has those issues.

Happens quite often for me on all websites, no extensions

                      0.99.123.3-beta, Monterey.

No steps to reproduce, since there is no pattern to when or which websites it happens on.

Is this mainly happening for users on Monterey?

Longely Can you please try this with latest RC and check if the same is still reproducible

                            dino

I havent had it happen yet, but i havent used RC that much. will yet you know if i experince it

I've had a bug where a page is constantly loading, and when its almost doen loading, it refreshes the page completely. this only occurred once, but it happened for every single page i had open. not sure if it's related to this issue.

Vlad Just wanted to add my anecdote that this was happening to me constantly until I updated my Mac (and Orion) to Ventura about 1.5 weeks ago and it completely stopped despite staying on 123.3 beta.
