When trying to pay via Apple Pay on this website, on the first attempt clicking the Apple Pay button does nothing. Upon reloading the page, the Apple Pay button has disappeared completely. Compatibilty mode has no effect. Copying this link into Safari works every time.

        Vlad, the walled garden strikes again. Thanks for the explanation Vlad and thank you for Kagi & Orion. They are both much appreciated.

        I’m telling all my friends about Kagi, zero-telemetry and paying for your searches. May I suggest you double the price for each search to help pay your monthly server fees. The privacy and quality of the searches is worth it.

          Vlad, I've checked that Orin is now upto date (above version numbers) and I was able to reproduce the same fault on the iPad M1 11" Pro running iPadOS ver 16.11. as before after loading a small number of news story links that had loaded successfully. Tricky?

          When trying to upload a screen shot of the error report to the Orin feedback page editor (on the iMac in MacOS) it continually says there was something wrong in the upload. I tried a .png and .jpeg image to no avail. So no screen shot unfortunately.

          Even trickier: to post this reply I have resorted to using Safari as the same"oops there is something wrong" message prevents me from posting the reply in the Orion feedback editor on the iMac (21" M1 2021, MacOS 13.0.1 (22A400)).

                BillF Can you try with latest version (1.2) and if this persists please create a new bug report with steps to reproduce, this should be something we can fix.

                    Version 0.99.122-beta (WebKit 615.1.11.7), iMac (macOS Ventura 13.0.1 build 22A400)

                    The problem persists as before on the M1 iMac. See attached screenshot image. Clicking on the Apple Pay button has no response. Repeating with Compatibility mode for Stripe.com has no effect.

                    One time purchase, Standard, buy with CC, click the Apple Pay button. Nothing happens.

                    Repeating these steps in Safari works just fine as before?? Hum, tricky.

                      I've just noticed that Apple Pay doesn't work on the website below in Orion as well. Once Apple Pay is selected, the Place order button is still gray. Compatibilty mode has no effect. Selecting pay via CC for this website works in Orion!

                            Vlad I just ran into this. If Orion can detect that and warn the user, that'd be a winner. Most users won't do a search in the fora first.

                                TCat We can't, Apple is restricintg access to these APIs on macOS still. If you can find any other browser (other than Safari) better handle this on macOS let us know!

                                    Btw, maybe it will be better handle and remove window.ApplePaySession at this moment? Because many sites show Apple Pay button which doesn't work 🙁

                                      v1ctor Or perhaps we leave it so that users can send feedback to Apple to enable it in other WebKit browsers which would be preferred solution (btw have you sent such feedback 😉

                                            I tried to use ApplePay to pay for my purchase from an e-commerce site and it failed the same site works in Safari without an issue.

                                            Expected is open ApplePay with selected payment method.

                                                As macOS Sequoia now allows third party browsers to support Apple Pay using an iOS device, will Orion support this method or continue to wait for full WebKit native support? This camera-based method now works in Brave, Chrome, Firefox, etc.
