One nifty "attention to detail" feature that I really like in Chromium based browsers is that they can always show the bookmark-bar on a new tab page, even if you have hidden the bookmark-bar. This makes sense, because a new tab page is probably the most user page for opening bookmarks. Would be great to have this option in Orion.

          Thanks that helps. Normally in Orion this behavior is enabled by simply having favorites on your start page (which I do not see there in brave, but in Orion that is by default).

            OK, I understand that; and it is similar to Safari. In my set up on Orion, I see multiple bookmark "folders": Favorites, Bookmarks Bar, and Bookmarks. Only Favorites show up on the start page and not the ones from Bookmarks bar. Is there a reason that they're separate? Or did I mix something up while importing things from other browsers? In Safari, Favorites and Bookmarks Bar are the same thing.

              vkt yes we have them seperate as it gives more flexibility for the user. Since these rarely change, it is easy to keep them at parity if user wants.

              But for example i have bookmarklets in my bookmarks bar that would be useless inside favorites on the start page.

                Ok. But then maybe there should be an option to show Bookmark Bar stuff on the Start page too (not just favorites).

                      Haha, no, def not a high priority item. Simply voicing an opinion given that the behavior is different than what is the norm (in other browsers).

                                    Vlad AFAIK, both are not possible with Start Page Favorites.

                                    The core idea behind Start Page Favorites is to keep a small list of websites that one frequently visits.

                                    Whereas, bookmarks can hold virtually unlimited list of websites that one may want to visit or show up in search suggestions.

                                        Both are meant to be a small list. Both support Folders. Both are special folders inside Bookmarks you can import/export/

                                            I would ideally like to be able to view the bookmarks bar in new tab only. With the Favourites / Icon view you can't read the title headers properly.

                                            No one is typing
