Brief Summary
I believe Orion should have the ability to select multiple tabs. This can help users in many ways, for example closing multiple tabs or suspending multiple tabs without manually clicking on each one.

Details:
Click on a tab, then command click or shift click on other tabs. Also, Safari doesn't have that because there is no use to select multiple tabs; tabs in safari are either closing or duplicating, nothing else. Orion however, has muting, suspending and bookmarking. And it is more often that we have to select multiple tabs and run these actions. For my use, I have multiple tab groups with different assignments and homeworks, so after doing a little bit on each assignment, I want to be able to suspend the tabs and open them for another day. This is also benificial to users who have low ram chips, as they can suspend/close multiple tabs at once.

am I mistaken or does the newest version of safari have this feature? (shift click to select multiple tabs - only in the vertical tab view, that would be perfect for my setup with Orion)

eirk What are the options on right click?

Looks like there's 3 options when multiple tabs are selected.

I'd like a quicker way to move my current tab or a collection of tabs to another window. In Firefox, the Tab Groups extension provides a neat popup UI for this operation (I've blacked my tab group names), which can be called by pressing a (user configurable) keyboard shortcut:

Also note that the extension allows the user to move multiple tabs to a different window. The only difference is that the user must first select the tabs that they wish to move (either by holding down command while selecting tabs one by one, or by holding shift and selecting the start and end tabs), before pressing the keyboard shortcut.

I'm open to other ways of implementing this functionality other than a popup window.

There isn't a default keyboard shortcut, but in Firefox's settings, there's a page for configuring extension shortcuts. I've made it option + 2. It's a shortcut I use often so I wanted to make sure I reach it with only my left hand.
(Ideally I'd like all shortcuts to be user configurable, but that's for a separate request.)

It would be nice if we could just select multiple tabs (for example in the side bar), like in lists with shift (for a range) or just option to toggle them one by one. And then be able to right click -> move to another window or just drag and drop them in the correct location / window.

I am not sure if there is any other ticket like this, I could not find anything related except this.

Imo this is a very much needed functionality, for like closing a group of tabs or moving them to a different window within a workspace, or moving them to a new app window.

eirk How did you manage to select multiple tabs like this? Really interested in using this function.
