adorabilis When you say no quicker way, isn't native two finger gesture scroll both quicker and feels more native? You can do this both on the trackpad and apple mouse. It is fast and does not involve any clicks.

adorabilis How are these tw related? they ask for different behaviour? Can there be a way to simplify this to same behavior? We do not like to stray away from native and when we do I appreciate when the ask is simple.

Vlad They’re different behaviours. Sorry for the confusion. I thought the link might help interested users discover another suggestion that shares the same spirit (QOL improvement for using Orion with a mouse).

I use 'autoscroll' all the time, and not having it available in Orion is frustrating for me. I'm also in the camp of users who frequently use a non-Apple mouse with my PC (specifically, a Logitech MX Anywhere), so I don't have easy access to two-finger scrolling a lot of the time.

Just feel like chiming in here. I have a Macbook, when I'm working on the couch or whatever, yes the trackpad is great. But most of the time I'm at my desk using an ergonomic keyboard and mouse. I use the Kinesis Advantage keyboard and the Evolent vertical mouse.

I use these to avoid pain in my wrists and fingers so it's very important.

I'm trialing Kagi and Orion, my typical browser is Firefox almost entirely because of this auto-scroll (and better privacy related extensions). My mouse has a mouse wheel but that's it's own sort of painful and I only use it in certain situations. So for me, this is an unfortunate missing feature of Orion.

I have seen that there are some extensions that allow global auto-scrolling in macOS (for example https://smooze.co). Similar to how I've learned that 1password has a universal auto-fill (and as such I don't need the extension in Orion), maybe this is a good solution for me in more cases than just Orion.

We added a working extension that does this in our Popular extension section with this update (124.2)
