I was going to post thist as a bug until I stumbed upon using the shift key. I would prefer to not have to hold down the shift key to mouse-wheel through a long list of tabs – just like Safari and Firefox allows.

        Still seems to be broken using vertical scroll. Works using the shift key, but other browsers (including safari) do not require the shift key to be held for scrolling the tab bar.

            Brief Summary
            Make vertical scroll wheel on a mouse scroll horizontal tabs without holding down the shift key.

            Details:
            With the “see website titles in tabs” option checked, horizontal tabs overflow easily. As a mouse user with many tabs, this would be a huge QOL improvement. In clamshell mode, I do not have access to MacBook’s trackpad. Having to hold down the shift key while browsing with the mouse with one hand is very inconvenient and disruptive. Firefox implements this and it works very well.

            Edit: I found a locked post with the same suggestion but no conclusion here.

                How is Orion different than Safari in this regard?

                      Vlad Orion behaves the same as Safari in this regard. When “Always show website titles in tabs” (not possible in Safari) is checked in settings, the tab bar overflows easily and the pain of navigating tabs using only a mouse exacerbates. Not everyone has access to an Apple trackpad so this feature will be a huge boon to (non-Apple) mouse-only users.
