  • IOS landscape start page has a white box in the background that can be dragged around

  • BugsMobileDone

N.B. This is not by any means a priority issue -- this is just something that caught my eye and should be categorized under 'polish' or something.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Use Orion on iOS
  2. Use landscape orientation
  3. Open Orion's start page
  4. Tap and drag near the area where the bottom part of your screen would be if you were in portrait mode
  5. You are now able to drag a white box around
This is probably a remnant of some old fix that may or may not be still required.

Expected behavior:
The Start page shouldn't have unnecessary boxes to drag around.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Orion 1.2.3 (1) (WebKit 8614.3.7.0.6)
iOS 16.2

This still exists in Orion 1.2.7 (5) (Webkit 8615.1.26.10.23):

    5 months later

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Open a new tab in portrait mode
    2. Rotate iPhone to landscape mode
    3. Observe a big white bar at the bottom of the screen

This will not appear if the page is opened in landscape mode first.

    Expected behavior:
I expected the start page to look normal without a white bar at the bottom.

    Orion, OS version; hardware type:
    Orion 1.3.2
    iOS 17 Beta 6
    iPhone 13

    Image/Video:

I see the white bar, but it briefly flickers before disappearing.

I see a white bar as well. However, mine does not briefly flicker before disappearing. It just stays there.

This issue is no longer present in the 1.3.3 (1) beta.
