  • Native content blocker conflicts with embedded videos on some websites

Steps to reproduce:
Browse this page with the native content blocker turned on. Try to play the embedded video, nothing will happen. With uBlock Origin it will work as expected.

Expected behavior:
Embedded videos should play normally despite the content blocker being turned on.

Orion and macOS:
0.99.108.1-beta (WebKit 613.1.10), macOS Monterey

Image/Video:

    Orion uses Easylist and EasyPrivacy filter lists. Try using those lists in other browsers and see if it still happens, or if it's an Orion specific issue. If it's not Orion specific, you can submit an issue to the respective lists' repositories.

      h2flux I use Adguard on Safari as well as uBO on Chrome with the same filters/lists, only Orion's native content blocker has this issue with embedded videos

          I am no longer able to reproduce the issue in the initial report and I have not encountered anything like that in a good while. Most likely safe to mark as Done @Vlad
