Steps to reproduce:
Open several tabs, so that they don't fit your browser window any more (like 22 or something). Try to scroll to the last tab. No scrolling is happening. Before the latest update I was able to scroll through the opened tabs with my mouse (Apple Mighty Mouse if that's important) just like in Safari.

Did you try using Compatibility mode?
I don't know what this is.

If applicable, does Safari behave in the same way?
Safari still offers the possibility to scroll through open tabs.

Expected behavior:
Before the update I could scroll horizontally through the open tabs and I would like to be able to do that again.

Orion, OS version; hardware type:
Orion version 0.99.121.1-beta (WebKit 614.1.20)
MacBook Pro (macOS Monterey 12.6.1)

I'm running the same problem. I'm unable to scroll open tabs (40+) whether using the touchpad, apple mouse or MX Master 2S.

Vlad restarting the machine or Orion, coz I've tried this and it hasn't worked.

I restarted Orion, the Macbook and the mouse, but it still happens. I thought maybe the mouse is the problem, but it works just fine in any other app, including Safari. After that, I tried using the trackpad – nope no scrolling.

I'm also having the same problem, but it is happening with my trackpad. Vertical tabs are fine, but Horizontal tabs are stuck. I have turned off all my extensions and even reinstalled Orion, but still have the issue. My first Orion version was 2 updates ago, I wish I could go back to it, since I had no problems with it. Only after updates did problems start showing up.

          Version 0.99.121.1-beta (WebKit 614.1.20)
MacBook Pro (macOS Monterey 12.6.1 build 21G217)

You can disable "Always show titles in tabs" option in the Settings to get around this, in a way.

What confuses me is that I am able to scroll without a problem both on apple mouse and track pad.

            Any ideas where to look?

I have no idea, it only started being a problem after the update. Is there some debug info we can send you to help?

                Vlad

Just wild guessing: MemeScreen and I both use precisely the same macOS version (Monterey 12.6.1). Have you, as a developer already updated to Ventura? Maybe the bug doesn't appear there and only happens to Monterey users or users of this specific Monterey version?

Vlad I doubt it, but could it be an Apple Silicon problem? Also is there a debug mode or build we can use to help narrow down the problem?

pancake-of-doom Nope, this doesn't work for me on Ventura either. I've used a Microsoft bluetooth mouse, as well as the MX Master 3S. Neither triggers a tab bar scroll on vertical scrolling, without using the shift key.

Same problem on MacOS BigSur (11.6.3) on a MacBook Pro (intel, early 2015). I can't scroll through tabs, it doesn't work even with pressing the shift key. Tried both the trackpad and a generic USB mouse. No luck.

I'm also having the same problem on my 14" MacBook Pro (M1 Pro) running MacOS 12.4

Works on my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)

                        • macOS 12.6.1 (21G217)
                        • Orion 0.99.121.1-beta (WebKit 614.1.20)
                        • using Logitech M330
                        • wired keyboard
                        • No other trackpad or wireless mouse connected

Works on my MacBook Air (M2, 2022)

                        • macOS 12.6 (21G115)
                        • Orion 0.99.120.1-beta (WebKit 614.1.20) — a version behind, surprised it worked
                        • using trackpad
                        • No other trackpad or wireless mouse connected

ehlo the last version worked with scrolling. It only became an issue with the current release.

For me personally, vertical scrolling has never worked on any version of Orion without holding the shift key.
