Uploading files via Drag and Drop doesn't work

I was about to make a new post when I found this. Glad it's planned.

Posting my video just to help the case. I'm on MacOS 12.6, though.

Drag & Drop files to browser doesnt work. Instead the files I dragged open as tabs.

I believe this behavior worked in build 119

Dragging a local file into the slack window should trigger an HTML5 drag and drop behavior on the website. Now when you drag a local file, the file is "opened" in the current tab. In the case of a zip file it just displays the encoded binary data.

Steps to reproduce:
Go to a website that uses a drag and drop file upload (e.g. https://imgur.com or this very feedback site)
Try to upload a file using drag and drop
The file is open using a file:// uri

Expected behavior:
File is given to the drop handler

Yes, this is fixed and tested with the websites such as

• https://orionfeedback.org
• https://imgur.com
• https://wetransfer.com

and should also cover the other similar websites.

Doesn't work for me, still, unfortunately.
