FYI, with 1Password 8 there is now Universal Autofill, so a global ⌘\ keyboard shortcut, and you can open a new overlaid menu that will fill passwords in native apps. This is great as it now works auto-filling on websites with Orion.

1password support
1Password now works in orion, but also there is no need for extension when global auofill is implemented in 1PW 8.
Vlad It's true that version 8 doesn't require an extension to autofill, but there are a lot of things it can't do, which require the browser extension. These include:
- Generating passwords
- Saving login information
- Updating login information
- Filling personal information ("Identities")
- Filling Credit Card payment forms
- Privacy.com integration
- Fastmail integration
In addition of course to multi-platform operation, these are the kinds of features that people are paying for when they subscribe to 1Password, so people who are invested in 1Password are going to have a hard time giving this up to move to Orion. (Speaking for myself, I don't think even 30 minutes of Orion use go by without my noticing. It's just that I realize that it's in beta and issues like this are part of the deal.)
Yes, I agree with cob-nobbler those things I'm really missing from not being able to use the 1P extension in the browser. I would be grateful Vlad if you could reconsider making 1P fully opperational in Orion.

Yep, the global autofill works, but is still missing a number of key features as cob-nobbled mentioned. I wo
I hope you can add password managers to be more streamlined like Safari where it is less clunky. I am using 1Password and it doesn’t download from Chrome Store, the Firefox store did. It won’t play and work properly when I need the password manager to do it’s thing. I hope it is possible to make a password manager as a default that iCloud password manager.
Unfortunately it is not up to Orion to support 1Password. It is the other way around, 1Password has to support Orion.
You can follow the following thread: https://1password.community/discussion/124112/support-for-orion-browser
You can still use Universal Autofill - https://support.1password.com/mac-universal-autofill/
Safari has its own extension/app and works fine. Issue is with Orion due to experimental feature with Chrome extensions. The extension works on toolbar but does not let you use autofill within webpage fields.
Work as expected like a Chrome or Chrome like extension.

CadetClueless This is because 1Password needs to whitelist orion, you can make your voice heard here https://1password.community/discussion/124112/support-for-orion-browser
Vlad Thanks for this! I did not see all of these prior posts!

I have the same issue
I love this browser but autofill, or even when it see the username/password nothing gets filled So for now I have put it on my nice to have as a browser but not for production default browser as I cannot copy and paste everytime I need to login somewhere. Pitty!
Hi RemoMattei you should be able to use universal auto fill in 1password 8.
With that I can fill in passwords in almost every website (not all) but nevertheless you’re missing quite a lot of features from the plug-in.
RemoMattei Make sure to express your frustration here https://1password.community/discussion/124112/support-for-orion-browser
as this issue is not under our control.
What we made in a recent update is the ability to import all passwords from 1Password (File -> Import From) so then you would be able to use Orion's native autofill.
Hi @Vlad, Yes I was happy to see this, and I tried it, but it was with mixed results. Quite a few of the imported passwords didn't properly fill on their respective sites. And 2-factor authentication (which I use on many sites) is (understandably) not supported. So, I reverted to using Universal Autofill and await a response from 1Password.

janpeeters 2FA authentication should work correctly. Autofilling it (and passwords) can be an issue (we need to improve the logic) but you should be able to pull up Passwords window and copy password/2fa code manually.
I imported everything again and did some tests. Quite a few of my logins give errors, but that must be the autofill logic. Many others do work.
I wasn't aware that I could pull up a Passwords window to copy the 2FA codes. That helps. I'll keep an eye on it.
Yesterday I wrote an email to Dave Tear from 1Password that the lack of real transparency and the lack of connectedness from the devs to the users on the forum bothers me and that I've known it to be different. It's a curse of growing as an organization to do it right, but still.
I mentioned that e.g. for a long time nothing is being done about Orion. And that I wonder why they don't put one or two devs up to it for a few days together with Orions people Vlad to have 1P user satisfaction repaired. Curious if I hear from him. Then I'll report back.
