As the title suggests, it would be a huge improvement if the bookmarks were imported directly into the folders instead of me manually having to drag them in. This could maybe be achieved by seeing if the name of the folder matches "Favorites", "Bookmarks Bar" or "Bookmarks" and under the "Imported <date>" folder for other cases

Also, there could be a checkmark enabling this option as some people might not want this to be the default and only behaviour.

When I try to import from a html file, nothing happens. When I import directly from Firefox it works. But - when I move a folder of bookmarks from the import to another folder - eg the toolbar folder, it reverses the order of all of my bookmarks!

Have you checked under the "Bookmarks" folder?
Or does it not appear there either?

This is a 2 part issue and should be bifurcated into two posts as such

If the first part of the issue is that it only imports to "Bookmarks" folder, then it is a duplicate of https://orionfeedback.org/d/1762-import-bookmarks-directly-to-the-folders-instead-of-under-bookmarksimported-date
If the issue is that it doesn't show up even under the "Bookmarks" folder, then it warrants another post detailing about it

Meanwhile, the 2nd part of the issue is a direct duplicate - https://orionfeedback.org/d/1763-bookmarks-get-copied-in-the-reverse-order

I second this suggestion. I tried deleting all the bookmarks/folders and exported the html file. Seems like adding bookmarks under the proper headings should put them in the same place in Orion. However, they always go to a “imported <date>” subfolder. I can move an imported folder to the desired Orion bookmark/favorite folder, but cannot mass move individual bookmarks, at least on iOS.

I couldn’t find anything in the documentation about this. If there is something I need to add to the HTML file, please let me know. Thx!
