Snapshots do not work

after losing all my open tabs (the usual with orion) due to #10298, #12605, and #12604, i tried a last-resort option — i remembered i had snapshots from a long time ago. i clicked “restore snapshot,” got a prompt saying the snapshot date was 2 august, clicked ok, my orion window closed, i opened a new one… and it had zero tabs. that was the “restore.”

unfortunately, i could not, cannot, and will not be able to try or reproduce this again because restoring a snapshot creates a new one #7244, reported almost 2 years ago), which in this case is also empty.

Haarolean You can try manual restore process if that works.

Locate snapshots directory ~/Library/Application Support/Orion RC/snapshots or ~/Library/Application Support/Orion/snapshots based on your target build.
Select your profile directory (will be Defaults in primary profile), and navigate to all stored snapshots (having .shanpshot suffix). You can select the latest one
Copy browser_state.plist to ~/Library/Application Support/Orion RC/Defaults or ~/Library/Application Support/Orion/Defaults based on your target build (select your target profile directory if not default one).
