Pinch/zoom getures not forwarded to browser
What happened? How did it happen? What are the steps to replicate the issue.
Hi, when using finger pinching in figma (figma.com) to zoon in/out the gesture is not recognized properly, the page zooms in itself instead of its content.
What did you expect to happen? Describe the desired functionality.
expected it to work properly
What version of Orion are you running?

This is annoying. I've left a comment on Apple's bugzilla.
As a workaround for Miro, I'm using command+two-finger-scroll up and down, which also zooms. It's not as ergonomic as pinch-zoom, but it'll do for now.
My tip for other people struggling with this – it might not work for every use case, but for me it's fine: I wanted to use Penpot and this issue makes it impossible in Orion. What I did was open it in Safari and use the new Share > Add to dock feature to encapsulate Penpot as an app. I can use it as if it's a desktop app with the pinch to zoom working properly, and keep using Orion as main driver for actual web browsing.
meroron Nice workaround, thanks.

Any progress on this? It seems like the Webkit team has abandoned the issue or just has no plans to fix it. They've gone silent.
Maybe there's a different way to catch their attention?
SInce SigmaOS shipped its own webkit engine, they can supports webextension while supporting the forwarding. Is there a chance Orion can find a way to implement this feature like what they does?
We got tired of waiting for WebKit team to fix this so we fixed it ourselves. Coming first in the next RC this Wednesday.

I use various mapping sites for work, and in other browsers I can use the double finger zooming gesture on my Mac's trackpad to zoom in and out on the map. But in Orion, using this gesture keeps zooming out to all my tabs, not on the actual map. And if it does manage to zoom on the map, it zooms to a static view and does not re-scale like it does in every other browser I've used for this (Chrome, Safari, FF).
This is a dealbreaker, as I need to be able to work quickly and having to use the manual +/- buttons to zoom takes up time and is cumbersome.
I expect to be able to zoom in and out on a map.

Vlad YEEEEEEAAAAAHHHH it works great
If i use trackpad (Macbook Pro M1) to zoom in Figma, the entire interface (toolbars etc) zoom with the rest of the content, making the site non functional. This is not how it functions in Safari. When you move in and out of projects with the trackpad only the the project content is affected, but not the Tool UI. I tried disabling extension and running in compatibility mode, but had the same result.
Thanks!
Desired functionality: Zooming with trackpad would only interact with project content, not the entire site (UI toolbars, etc).

If I'm not missing something, this can be closed perhaps, as this has been implemented in 0.99.127.1 and seems to work in google maps and figma.
