Currently, opening a new PDF results in it being viewed as "Single Page Continuous". However, on widescreen monitors, it is outrageously wide and unreadable. Any of the other options are usable - and the ability to set "Single Page" as the default viewing option would be much appreciated. Alternatively, by default using "automatically resize" when viewing a PDF would also result in an immediately readable PDF.
Default settings for PDF viewer
Sure. On a 21:9 monitor, this is how a PDF opens by default:
Safari does the same, but it's just unreadable for me - it's much too wide. Firefox/Chrome scale it to a page -
The option of auto-fitting a page would be great. Or, to set "Single Page" as the default viewer.

Perhaps one way is to remember previous settings - when a user selects "one page" it stays as is - or to make a setting for "auto resize pdfs" I guess?
Ok we can see if it is possible to remember last used settings for internal PDF viewer.

Chrome, Firefox:
Maybe something changed with this issue since Orion is using pdf.js now. i dont have widescreen monitor so cant test
Has this been recently addressed? I Googled looking how to change the default view setting in Orion and found this page. Having Orion default to Page Width instead of Page Fit is atrocious. If you're in a darker room it makes the bright white screen even more jarring to the eyes. It also makes it so you can't see the whole PDF when that obviously makes the most sense.
Please give us the ability to change our default PDF view extent!
