If you're asking if this bug is limited to StopTheMadness, the answer is no; for example, Bitwarden biometric authentication also fails (I think it uses native messaging to communicate with the desktop app).
If you're asking if there is another extension that works as well as STM, the answer is definitely not. It would probably be possible to cobble something similar with a userscripts and custom CSS extensions, but (a) this would be much less user-friendly, (b) you'd lose the cross-platform sync (I really appreciate being able to tweak a website on a computer and have the tweak immediately applied to all my other browsers, including ones on iOS), and (c) I'm not sure how well any of the userscript/custom CSS extensions work on Orion.
