I reported the same issue about two weeks ago, however back then it happened even when using a new clean Orion Profile. The latest Orion RC version, 0.99.131.3-rc, fixed the underlying issue, except now the poor performance only happens when I have the extension Consent-O-Matic enabled, for either Firefox or Chrome.

As before, the initial landing on https://soranews24.com is fine, however scroll down fast enough and loading begins to crawl and even causes Orion to freeze up for a few seconds.

I installed Consent-O-Matic for Safari (Safari version 18.3.1 (20620.2.4.11.6)) from the Apple App Store, and confirmed the issue does not happen in Safari.

Expected: No poor performance when loading https://soranews24.com when using Consent-O-Matic extension.

I wasn't able to reproduce this on Orion RC 0.99.131.2-rc. The page loaded for me, I was able to switch between "prettify" and "minify" and even download the result, Both on main profile and a new profile. I didn't see that error in the Console either.

When I go to https://dw.de I am met with an Insecure Site warning. Looking at the details, the warning is correct as the SSL Certificate is for *.dw.com, not dw.de. You can verify this here: https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=dw.de

You can still visit the site, which does end up redirecting to dw.com, if you click on the Visit Insecure Site button. The SSL certificate issue would be something the webmaster has to fix rather than Orion devs.

I just tried a few different sites and had no problem with the Summarizer. Are you still having the issue? If so, can you list a few example sites we can try?

Orion RC 0.99.131.2-rc

When visiting https://soranews24.com, the initial visible section of the page loads quickly. However, upon scrolling down, the rest of the page loads very slowly. This happens even when the full page is cached (i.e. visited before, scrolled to the bottom of the page). If you scroll down quick enough and repeatedly, the browser slightly locks up for a few seconds while the visible section loads.

This happens even in a new clean profile (no extensions or customizations). The issue still occurs in Compatability mode also.

Does not happen in Safari, the full page loads almost instantly on a high speed connection.

MacBook Air (macOS Sequoia 15.3.1 build 24D70)

Page loads quickly, most of the page loads without having to scroll down, and browser doesn't lock up.

Vlad Not the browser, but the ecosystem. Passkeys on Apple devices are stored on iCloud Keychain, and on Android when you transfer your apps/data to a new phone, passkeys go along with it.

Unfortunately, passkey migration hasn't been implemented though it's being looked at.
