I had this issue and couldn't figure it out initially. I just realized I had a script installed via tampermonkey (anti-adblocker killer) that YT was detecting. I haven't had any issues since removing that script.
This bug can be closed. Extension has been deprecated and replaced with TTV LOL PRO which appears to work as intended.

Steps to reproduce:
- Install the TTV LOL extension (Chrome or Firefox)
- Set extension permission to any option
- Visit twitch.tv and try watching any stream
Expected behavior:
