    • Orion seem to be great browser. The only reason i can't switch is because Brave has built in adblock. Which is fast but also blocks YouTube Ads smarter than any other adblocks. Is possible to implement such feature.

It's one of the most useful features of a web browser of 2024. A built in adblock delievers faster and smarter ways of blocking ads. Oiron is the best browser out there but in order to switch to it 100% from Brave it needs the last part and that is way of blocking ads without 3rd party extensions

        • Tap and hold on address bar, waiting for the first haptic.
Then, drag your finger around the screen. Feel the very fast haptics that occur as you move your finger

Also, if you just tap and hold on address bar, there is the first haptic, but when you release your finger, there is an extra haptic

there should be no other haptics

The choice on the left is correctly titled "Sidebar" but it has the grid icon.
The choice on the right is correctly titled "Grid" but it has the sidebar icon.

            • Steps: (as shown in video)

              • have two tabs open, A as the first tab, B as the second.
              • be in tab B. from autocomplete suggetions, switch to tab A. observe toolbar messed up
              • try to swipe to go to tab B. oberve unable to do so, as it automatically sends u back to tab A. also observe address bar missing
              • go to tab overview and select tab B. observe able to go to tab B now.

              Another case:

              • have tabs A, B, C.
              • be in tab C. switch to tab A.
              • observe can swipe between tab A and B, but not tab C.

toolbar should not break, and swiping functinoality should not break either.

closing and reopening orion fixes this issue.

              • After clicking the address bar while on a search result for any search engine, the very top of the toolbar is a different color than the rest of the backgorund

The entire toolbar should be the same color

                • I suggest implementing all Safari keyboard shortcuts in Orion.
It will affect existing workflows by making Orion easier for people coming from Safari.

Currently, configuring Orion to support Safari shortcuts must be done manually. Some shortcuts don't even work, like this. I find this tedious.
Adding support to Orion Safari shortcuts would benefit everyone and make Orion easier to use.

                    They should be separated

                    • Dear Orion Team,

I hope this message finds you well! I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the platform and the opportunity it provides for users to share their feedback and suggestions.

I would like to propose a feature that I believe could greatly enhance the user experience: the ability to rename threads after they have been submitted and published. This functionality would be particularly beneficial in cases where there might be a typo in the thread title or if the title gets truncated due to character limits.

Having the option to edit thread titles post-submission would not only help maintain clarity and accuracy but also improve the overall organization of discussions. It ensures that users can easily identify relevant threads without confusion, especially when revisiting them later.

Thank you again for considering this suggestion. I believe it could make a significant positive impact on how users interact with the platform. Looking forward to your thoughts on this idea!

                      Best regards,
                      Yuriy

                        • I have been enjoying Orion for months and have accumulated many bookmarks. I tried to categorise them into some sort of order but I cannot change their folders easily. When compared with Safari, Orion does not have an 'Edit Bookmarks' option in the Bookmarks drop down menu. Please include that functionality into Orion as my bookmarks desperately need tidying up.

It's just Bookmarks guys, nothing tricky, but it is enough to cause me to revert to Safari. Bookmark management needs to be improved. I wasted a couple of hours on my Sunday night trying all sorts of things but I was not successful. It shouldn't be that hard to categorise bookmarks into relevant folders.

                            2. Trigger tab overview

                            • I am not sure how much of a concern this is, but a quick search for it on the site did not return results. Orion is also the name of an iOS HDMI video capture app from the developers of Halide.

Functionality is entirely different, obviously, but it could cause confusion for future users trying to find the app -- or existing users who have both installed.

                              • currently the profile switcher looks like this:

which is fine and functional, but not really aesthetically pleasing.

the implementation in safari looks much more swiftui-like:

                                • When visiting a webpate with a lot of white, when the toolbar is in its compact form, it simpossibel to distinguish where the webpage content ends and where the toolbar begins. Safari fixes this by using a grey colored 1px divider.

Safari fixes this by using a grey colored 1px divider. Orion should do the same

                                  • It seems that the haptic feedback is triggered when you swipe between two tabs, AND you hold your finger down until at least 50% of the swipe has been completed.

If you only swipe partially, and let the "momentum" continue the swipe, there is no haptic feedback.

This haptic feedback behavior is also the same for when creating a new tab by swiping.

Not sure what the expected behavior should be, but it should definitely not be the existing behavior.

                                    Possible expected behaviors:

                                    • only trigger when creating new tab
                                    • trigger when swiping every tab

                                    • Suggestion: allow users to force the scroll bar to always be shown. Currently, it disappears a second after you scroll the webpage.

                                      • Set a theme color for Orion.
                                        as below:

then, open a new start page tab. observe no theming of toolbar or sidebar.
                                        navigate to a website.
observe the green now appearing in sidebar and toolbar.

theming should also apply to start page.

this actually could be the intended behavior though
