  • It is difficult to know which is the active tab 'chip' in the compact layout. It has a bit of a darker background, but it is very subtle and not very intuitive. I keep closing the active tab thinking it is one of the inactive tabs. I think it could be fixed by making the background of the active tab chip clearer instead of darker. It could even be completely clear with a border, just like the URL textbox.

It's not necessarily a feature but a UI improvement. By making the active tab 'chip' stand out in the compact layout you make it more convenient, more usable, more dependable.

    • This is a feature I think works great in Arc browser. Having a pip box automatically appear when switching away from a video tab and then returning to full size video when going back to the video tab. Shouldn't be a manditory feature, but I think lots of people would enjoy it.

Arc browser has the exact implementation. Should be configurable on/off

      • Brief Summary
In Safari, when you hit Command-Up (⌘↑) or Command-Down (⌘↓) from the address bar, it moves the selected item to the first item in the section that's being navigated towards (i.e. which direction). I think Orion should mimic this feature, since it makes paginating through sections easier.

        Details:
Currently, when displaying results in the address bar, Orion groups them by their context. For example, a query may have a "Top Hits", "Suggestions", and "History" section. However, there seems to be no shortcut for moving between sections, which can make selecting a result take longer. As said in the brief summary, Safari supports this feature, so the general idea for how it would work is there (demo in the video).
