Yes, it seems that you can only move tabs to another open window --perhaps a legacy from the previous releases when tab groups where equated to real windows. As a user I would expect to be able to send a tab to a Tab Group whether it is opened in a window or not.
Also, the menu is somewhat confusing because it does not display the tab group associated to the window, it displays the number of tabs opened so one cannot really be sure where you are moving the tab to.

- open sidebar
- switch to either Tabs or Windows view in sidebar
- right click on window title in side bar (eg. "3 Tabs")
- click "Save..."
OR - click once on window title in sidebar (eg. "3 Tabs")
- rename window in-place
I think this is how it is supposed to work.
For me, at least, this funcionality doesn't work due to (I imagine) a bug...
Unless I've misunderstood you?Alternatively for now you can use SideButtons on github, which is a light application which simply makes them do three-swipe gestures backwards and forwards logically, so that in most applications it will go backwards and forwards. Which are the mouse 4 and mouse 5 buttons respectively.
