What does it entail?
Chrome has a useful feature where if for example you are typing YouTube, Google, or Bing you can tab directly into querying against that website right from the URL bar. For example, on YouTube specifically once you have the URL typed in the URL bar and you hit tab it allows you to continue typing directly in the URL bar for your specific Youtube search query then once you search you are brought to the YouTube page showing results for your query.
What is it for?
Purely just a quick shortcut that I find to improve the user experience in helping me get what I am trying to search for faster.
How will it affect existing workflows or user experience?
Don't think this will have any impact on existing workflows, if you are unaware of the feature then nothing changes for you as a user. Just a nice touch for those aware of it.
Most of the time if you are going to a website where the main functionality is running some sort of query, then the usual workflow is you type in the URL, go to that website, click or shortcut into the search bar for that website, and then search it for whatever you're looking for. This added feature I am proposing is useful because you can sort of jump right to searching for whatever query. So for example, you could type in youtube.com into the URL, then hit the tab button, and then directly enter your search query. So it's not saving you a ton of time, but it is a really nice touch, and I use it quite a lot. So it just cuts out a little bit of an extra step for using websites like YouTube, Google, Bing, or whatever else has a core functionality of entering a query.
