  • Steps to reproduce:
I was browsing (i.e. reading something, opening links in new tabs, closing tabs - not quickly) and suddenly I saw tabs opening in my window. (15-20 in total)

These tabs had been open in the past (as in: some several days, perhaps more than a week ago)

It's still happening as I'm typing this bug report.

This might be related to the most recent release, which broke the tab sync issue even further - on my most recent browser restart (after a macOS update), I had 40 tabs open (when previously my window had one or two), some of which I think had been opening again.

I'm otherwise running Orion only on my iPhone, which I hadn't been using while this was happening.

    Expected behavior:
    Tab sync to work correctly

    Orion, OS version; hardware type:
    Orion: Version 0.99.114.1-beta (WebKit 614.1.12)
    macOS: Version 12.4 (21F79)
    Hardware: iMac (Late-2015)

    • Steps to reproduce:

      • I have several named windows, only one of which was open.
      • The window had 10-15 tabs.
      • I restarted the browser by hitting Cmd + Q, then opening the app again using Spotlight. (No force close, no computer restart.)
      • The correct window opened, but the tabs were significantly outdated.
      • I had not been using Orion on a different device at the same time, and no other device is showing the same named window.

Some of the tabs that were open previously were gone - some of them had been open for more than a day. Some of the tabs shown had been closed at least for 12 hours.

      Expected behavior:
Tabs to be persisted correctly 🙂

      Orion, OS version; hardware type:
      Orion 0.99.114-beta (WebKit 614.1.12)
      macOS Monterey 12.3.1
      Intel iMac (27-inch, Late 2015)

      • It would be great if the iOS app could support AutoFill. Currently, I’m not seeing it work for anything - name, email, credit card details, one-time tokens extracted from texts, etc.
This is actually quite a big deal, more than I thought. I forgot how often I type in “easy” details like that.

There’s a test site to validate this here: https://fill.dev/
