    • Request: Allow the tab bar to responsively change from On Top to On The Side based on the width of the application window.

Quick fix: Provide a hotkey or UI element more convenient than the preferences screen to change tab style. This already exists! See comment below.

Sidebar tabs are incredible with a fullscreen browser in landscape orientation but take up too much space on portrait-oriented displays, or when the browser only takes up a portion of the screen.

Maybe it could make the swap around some predefined visible screen real estate width (768px, common tablet breakpoint?), or a user defined width. A complexity would be determining the relative size of the tab bar and the browser area. Could you make the tab bar wide enough that the browser would be too small, forcing you into top-tab? That'd be a fun loop to get stuck in. Maybe just store the last width the user manually dragged to and the auto-swap width is minimum + last-tab-width.

      • Would be very useful to have the equivalent of the common "close tabs to the left" or "close tabs to the right", but when using the vertical style tabs.
