When I go to a website with 2FA using a code to fill in, like for example logging in to Discord web, and I have to enter a verification code from a text message, Orion suggests to update the saved password.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Go to a website where you can login and use 2FA with a code, through email or sms
  • Login with your credentials, which should already be saved in Orion keychain
  • 2FA should be the next step, asking for a verification code
  • Enter the code you received by email/sms
  • Expected result: No prompt to update the saved password should show up
  • Actual result: A prompt asking to update a saved password shows up, and I have to be careful to not press Update every time

    I am not sure we can avoid it.
    I have the same problem with 1Password all the time.

      javit89 can you please share some website names? where we can test that to have some idea to prevent that.

          dino as I mention on the description you can try with discord 2fa. And I have never used 1Password but this issue has never happened to me with any other browser default password manager
