It’s quite common for me to have this experience: I'm absolutely certain I read something interesting, but can't remember where. I go through your history, staring at dozens of similar-titled pages, and... nothing.
I'd love to see Orion solve this with built-in content-aware history search similar to this Safari extension. Instead of just searching titles and URLs, Orion could remember what's actually inside the pages we visit.
Here's how I imagine it working:
- Automatic content indexing of visited webpages, focusing primarily on article content (just like reader mode)
- You could search through the actual text of pages you've visited
- Everything would stay private and local, with optional iCloud sync
For the privacy-conscious, you'd get full control:
- Toggle auto-saving on/off
- Block certain sites from being saved
- Choose what types of content get indexed
