It’s quite common for me to have this experience: I'm absolutely certain I read something interesting, but can't remember where. I go through your history, staring at dozens of similar-titled pages, and... nothing.

I'd love to see Orion solve this with built-in content-aware history search similar to this Safari extension. Instead of just searching titles and URLs, Orion could remember what's actually inside the pages we visit.

Here's how I imagine it working:

  • Automatic content indexing of visited webpages, focusing primarily on article content (just like reader mode)
  • You could search through the actual text of pages you've visited
  • Everything would stay private and local, with optional iCloud sync

For the privacy-conscious, you'd get full control:

  • Toggle auto-saving on/off
  • Block certain sites from being saved
  • Choose what types of content get indexed

    Hey @ining
This is an interesting suggestion for future versions of Orion, thank you. In the meantime, I suggest installing the Safari version and using it with Orion, as it should work.

      Hi @Yannick

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I tested the History Book extension on macOS Orion and it’s not working. Nothing is saved in the app when I’m browsing.

        Ho 🙁
I will note the existence of this extension and we will try to fix it.
