I am using a password for a web-site, say hotspot.info for my local network activation. The password is requested using a fingerprint on my macbook. Sometimes my fingers are not registering due to my work specific with hands. Using your browser I can make a workaround to input my password without a fingerprint. I place a finger 3 times untill it gives me an error. Refresh the page. Place it 2 times until error. Refresh the page. Now fingerprint is no longer required. I tested that with a finger that is not registered as fingerprint in my MacOS. This workaround doesn't work in safari. Works even without a fingerprint, I can do this workaround even using my fingernail. Do with this information what you wan't, it is not necessary to respond to my inquiry, I ain't using Orion anyways as it crashes 70% of the time for me and is draining too much power. Have a wonderful day!

I am using MacOS Sequoia Public Beta 2
Orion version 0.99.128.2-beta (WebKit 619.1.11.111.2)

Orion pls fix

Sonoma (14)

Can confirm the existence of this bug on Version 0.99.128.2.1-beta (WebKit 619.1.11.111.2). Here is some more info that I managed to collect:

    • Reloads are unnecessary. Just five misinputs of the Touch ID work.
    • The setting to use Touch ID for passwords disappears when this happens.
    • You wont require a Touch ID for password autofill again until you lock the screen of the mac, when it will ask you to enter your password to enable Touch ID. That would also re-enable the Touch ID setting and the requirement for autofill.

My guess would be MacOS locking touch ID due to multiple tries, with Orion having no fallback in that case.
