Encountering the same problem. Wanted to add that for me, it seems that whenever you click on/off the affected tab the text seems to re-correct itself to the proper width.

The issue doesn't seem to happen when tab widths arent resized, like when you reach enough tabs that you start scrolling through them instead of the tab bar being resized. This also only seems to be an issue if the tab title extends beyond the width of the tab, as in my screenshot the Gio UI tab doesn't seem to have this issue.

Orion 0.99.128.2-beta

macOS Sonoma (14.5)

Just updated - confirmed fixed! Thanks for the quick turnaround 🙏

Inactive tab titles either stretch or overlap with other tab titles, as shown in the following recording.

      Expected behavior:

      Version 0.99.128.2-beta (WebKit 619.1.11.111.2)

      Sonoma (14)

Please keep add to existing issues rather than creating new ones.

Merged 3 posts from Tab Titles Overlapping Issues.

Thias has been fixed, thanks for patience all and apologies for this slipping through testing.

The title text of tabs is stretching after closing tabs. Correct rendering returns for individual tabs (screenshot shows JS tab example) or all tabs after making a new tab.

              No blurry text pls

Edit: Realized this was a duplicate of another issue, gone to report over there.

Wanted to add some additional information to this, it seems that this wapring tends to happen whenever new tabs are opened/closed, and the individual tab width changes. This also seems to only be an issue when the tab title takes up the full width of the tab (In the screenshot, the Gio UI tab is unchanged as it didn't take up the full width of the tab when the tabs were resized).

If new tabs are opened, then the tab title seems to compress (as can be seen by the GitHub tab), whereas if tabs are closed, the tab title stretches (As can be seen by the golang docs tab). Additionally, this doesn't seem to be an issue when you have enough tabs open that the tab width isn't resized, and tabs start scrolling instead.

The font seems to always re-correct itself whenever you click on the tab to load it, but it becomes annoying to need to click through all your tabs to fix the font every time you open/close a tab.

I am also on Orion Version 0.99.128.2-beta, and running macOS 14.5

Merged 5 posts from Tab title text stretching.

All the text gets squished on some videos on youtube with Chinese characters

                    Don't squish the text.

                      Video? Can't reproduce

                      Version 0.99.128.1.1.2-rc (WebKit 619.1.11.111.2)
                      Build date Jul 30 2024
MacBook Pro (macOS Sonoma 14.5 build 23F79)

Please include clear steps to reproduce the issue and a video of you reproducing the issue on a fresh profile. It is clear the text sometimes becomes squished, but reports akin to "It just happened again" do not help.
